Guidelines

Dirty GRE words will consist of two hundred GRE vocabulary words, divided among twenty stories. That's ten words per story. Be sure to indicate which list you are submitting a story for. Example: Submission, Dirty GRE Words List 3 'Mad Hatter' by George Hatter. If you don't see a list, that means that slot has been filled.

Pay for Dirty GRE words is two cents per word. Submissions will remain open until all the slots are filled.

1. Five hundred words (There is a little flexibility with length but not a lot.)

2. Standard manuscript format, but I want the vocabulary words in BOLD.

3. Don't change the part of speech indicated.
Sometimes a word is well known as a noun but not as a verb. This is a study guide, so don't replace nouns with verbs, adjectives etc. You may change the form ( past tense, present tense, etc.).
4. Define each vocabulary word after you've used it. Example: Margret was maudlin after her cat died. She was overly sentimental

5. All genres are okay but keep in mind that I receive a lot of horror, fantasy and science fiction. You have more competition if you submit in these three genres.

6. Make it fun and dirty, but please remember a good story is nuanced. Don't use expletives for shock value. Tell a good story.

7. Submit grammatically clean, polished stories.

8. Don't mix and match the lists. Why? Because it's hard enough managing two hundred vocabulary words without trying to pin down what was used where and by whom.

*** A Little more about this book.
Keep in mind that the bulk of readers will be adults in their early to mid twenties, but some readers may be as young  as eighteen. Overall, I'm looking for stories that range in dirtiness from mild to moderately dirty.

  • A sexy vampire story
  • Stories with a lesson
  • More funny stories
  • Stories involving a fetish
  • Stories involving strange sex

You may submit to as many lists as you like but please no more than two submissions at a time. As soon as the slots are filled, I will close submissions and remove lists.
