PROJECT SPECIFICS

Green Gecko is looking for up to ten stories about dogs.
Non-fiction pay is two cents per word for well edited, professional manuscripts. Fiction pay is one cent per word for well edited, professional manuscripts. Manuscripts that need editing will be paid a quarter of a cent per word. The theme is Passion for Dogs, not dogs. Non-fiction: Filled |
Fiction: Any genre except horror. It should be obvious why horror stories involving dogs are not suitable for this book. Stories should deal in some way about the love of a dog. Stories that are about a specific animal seem to work best. The animal should have special meaning by the tale's end. Characters should not feel indifferent. Please no death of a pet stories as we've already accepted a few and don't want this to be all sad tales.
If the main character is a dog, the story should exude traits that dog lovers will recognize as all dog. Stories that are written in third person are more likely to be accepted than those in third person unless you story is easily distinguished as fiction.
