The day job

I, Renee` Zuchniak, (Editor and chief bottle washer of GGP) have taken a day job. Because the job market in the United States is great, and by that, I mean it's bad, I spend two hours driving to work added to my 10 hour day.


What that means for Green Gecko is this:
Because managing interns is a job in and of its own, I've scaled back. In otherwords, no interns and not looking for any right now.
All but Dirty GRE and Passion for Puns is closing to submissions while I use my limited free time to go through the  submissions I already have.

Other important info:

Due to a lack of non-fiction stories and a plethora of top-notch fiction, Passion for Ghosts stories is likely to be comprised of 10 fiction tales. So, if you submitted fiction there are six slots available unless I discover five smashing non-fiction pieces. (Unlikely.)

Next, if you have a piece accepted you are free to submit it elsewhere. The contract says you can't publish it, but we're trucking along so slowly, I'm freeing you up to re-sell the story. This will not affect your pay or publication with GGP. There is likely to be very little audience cross-over anyway.
